In plenary sessions, advisory delegates are polled before commissioners vote. The process works like this:
- Advisory delegates see a polling panel and cast their poll—the process is identical to voting
- Polling results are displayed by advisory delegate type—all participants can see these results
- The moderator announces: "Commissioners, you have been advised. You may vote when your voting panel is displayed."
- Commissioners vote using the same process described above
- Commissioner voting results are displayed
In committee meetings, everyone votes at the same time—there is no separate advisory delegate poll.
