Requesting to Speak

To speak during a committee meeting or plenary session, you'll use the Parliamentary Toolbox near the top of SessionSync.

Before we walk through the process, two important things:

The colorful boxes (Question, In Favor, Against, etc.) are not buttons. They display the number of people currently in the queue for each purpose. The only action buttons are Seek Recognition, Move, and Second.

You can only seek recognition for one purpose at a time. If you change your mind about why you want to speak, you'll need to withdraw your current request first.

In MyGA, clicking Seek Recognition opens a pop-up with a list of purposes for speaking.
