Re-Attestations & 14-day Match Response Window
We are pleased to introduce new features designed to enhance the CLC process and ensure a more efficient and accurate candidate pool.
1. Re-Attestation Process
To maintain an up-to-date and accurate candidate pool, we have implemented a yearly re-attestation process for all Call Seeker accounts. This ensures that candidates remain in good standing and are correctly associated with their presbytery of membership.
- Each year, your account will be re-attested by your presbytery leadership.
- While your attestation is pending, you can continue to apply for positions and be matched as needed.
- If you have changed your presbytery of membership, please update the Ecclesiastical Status section of your account.
- If your presbytery leader does not complete your re-attestation, you will receive an email notification that your account has expired. At that point, you will no longer be able to apply for positions or appear in new matches. If this occurs, please reach out to your presbytery leadership.
2. 14-Day Match Response Window
We have received feedback from congregations regarding a lack of responses from matched candidates after receiving an Invitation to Apply. To improve this process, we have implemented a 14-day match response window:
- If you do not respond within 14 days, your match status will automatically change to "Not Considered (DNR) – Did Not Respond."
- The invitation will no longer be visible in your account. At this point, the congregation may choose to extend a new invitation or proceed with other candidates.
- To assist PNCs in their discernment process, we encourage you to respond to invitations as promptly as possible.
We deeply appreciate the wisdom and expertise shared by our presbytery leaders and church members. We will continue to keep you informed about upcoming features and developments in the months ahead. We will be posting new CLC training videos this month on pcusa.org/clc.
