Join in the Conversations
The practice of holding "riverside conversations" began with the 219th General Assembly (2010) that was held 'on the banks of the Mississippi' in the Twin Cities area of Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota. They provide an opportunity for commissioners and advisory delegates, along with others, to receive information about significant matters coming before the assembly before it officially convenes. Since reports are most fully presented in committees that meet simultaneously, they give those with a particular interest in the subjects a chance to learn about these items of business even if their responsibilities prevent them from being present during the committee session to which they are assigned.
For the "hybrid" 225th General Assembly, these presentations will be offered via video conference in the days preceding the start of the assembly on June 18. They will require advance registration. Information about each "riverside conversation" along with the link to register for it will be added below as the details are announced.
Registration links will be replaced by links to view recordings of the conversations after their respective dates.
