• Introducing GA225

Words of welcome to the upcoming 225th General Assembly from the Rev. Dr. J. Herbert Nelson, II, Stated Clerk of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), along with materials about the values and processes of the Assembly

    • The 225th General Assembly (2022) will continue to witness Christ to the world through its work. The Rev. Dr. J. Herbert Nelson, II, Stated Clerk of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) welcomes all to the Assembly. He shares the Assembly’s goal to be a more inclusive gathering for commissioners, delegates, and other participants. While hybrid in format, it will be an opportunity to come together in person safely during COVID, to explore new technologies to help our work into the future, and to continue the Church’s call to move from “Lament to Hope,” in our witness to God’s love through Jesus Christ.

    • The General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) represents the unity of the whole Church—our sessions, congregations, presbyteries, and synods. It is time to worship, learn, and discern the mind of Christ for witnessing the gospel to the world. Learn more about why the General Assembly exists.

    • The Rev. Dr. J. Herbert Nelson, II, Stated Clerk of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) describes the work of the Assembly as continuing to walk by faith and not by sight in the spirit of Christ and reformation.
