New Update: Salary Range Option Added to the MDP

During the week of March 9–13, the CLC team implemented an update to the Ministry Discernment Profile (MDP) that allows congregations and organizations to enter a salary range.

This update was introduced as a temporary measure to help align the CLC system with the growing number of U.S. pay transparency laws that require employers to disclose compensation ranges in job postings. Several states, including California, Colorado, Washington, New York, Illinois, and others now require job postings to include a good-faith salary range or pay scale, and in some cases a description of benefits, to improve transparency and equity in hiring.

Because many congregations and ministries using CLC may call candidates across multiple states, providing a salary range option helps ensure that posted positions can meet these emerging legal requirements.

Where you can now enter a Salary Range on the MDP:

    • Position Requirements: Position Title, PT Work Hours or Salary Range

    • Ministry Requirements: Tasks, expectations, salary range, duties...

Later this year, the CLC team plans to make additional improvements to the Compensation and Housing page of the MDP. This may include details on Board of Pensions Benefits.
